Our Story

Elizabeth Yoo started volunteering at a young age through her family, often helping alongside her father and their church in local service efforts. Growing up, she had regular access to opportunities and resources, and at first did not fully understand the challenges many people face in daily life. Over time, through direct conversations during volunteer work, she began to better understand how different circumstances affect individuals and communities.

As volunteering became a meaningful part of her life, she wanted to create a way for other students to experience that same sense of responsibility and purpose. That led to the creation of Generosity Guild, a student-led nonprofit built around practical service, community involvement, and shared leadership.

Our Mission

Generosity Guild focuses on two main goals:

1. Helping people in need through service projects and donation efforts.

2. Giving students opportunities to actively serve their communities.

The organization is built on the idea that service should be accessible and that students can take initiative in meaningful ways.

Our Purpose

The goal of the organization is not only to support communities, but also to encourage students to participate directly in service. Every project is designed to create practical local impact while helping students develop responsibility, teamwork, and leadership through action.

A core belief of the organization is that leadership is not limited to titles or experience, students from different backgrounds can contribute in meaningful ways when given the opportunity.

Our Values

The work of Generosity Guild is guided by the Five Hands of Generosity, which represent the principles behind its service approach. These values help shape how projects are planned and how members work together, while keeping the focus on service, consistency, and community impact.

What We Do

Current work includes donation drives, community service efforts, and student-led initiatives designed to respond to practical needs in local communities. Projects may vary, but the focus remains the same: organized service that directly benefits others while giving students a way to contribute.
